In The Blue Of The Day — album artwork
"A warm, intimate, and at times acerbic collection of songs exploring resilience, hope, anxiety, overwhelm, and life's quiet moments."

In The Blue Of The Day is Jack Carty's seventh studio album — written, recorded, produced, and mixed almost entirely alone in his home in Mount Cotton, Queensland. It is the kind of album that could only have come from someone who has spent years learning to listen to themselves.

Ten songs about worry, love, memory, and grace. This is a deeply human record that balances introspection, uncertainty and longing with melodic optimism and acceptance.

About the Record

A labour of love

In The Blue Of The Day was written, performed, produced, recorded and mastered almost entirely by Jack in his home studio in South-East Queensland (save for one piano track phoned in from England).

It is Jacks seventh album, and in many ways his most direct. The songs circle themes of anxiety and resilience, of loving people while worrying about everything, of the quiet optimism that comes from still being here and making things.

Released March 2026. Recorded at home, Mount Cotton, Queensland.
