Jack Carty — Short Biography ============================== Jack Carty is an award-winning Australian singer-songwriter, recording artist, and children's book author based in Brisbane. Over a career spanning more than fifteen years, he has released seven studio albums — two of which topped the Australian Independent Albums chart — three EPs, and three critically-acclaimed children's books published by Scholastic Australia. Winner of an APRA Professional Development Award and MusicOz Singer-Songwriter of the Year, Carty's music is rooted in the folk tradition but expansive in its reach: honest, melodic, and deeply felt. He has toured extensively across Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and New Zealand — sharing stages with Josh Pyke, Bernard Fanning, Ingrid Michaelson, Katie Noonan, The Once, Kate Miller-Heidke and many more — and performed at festivals including Primavera, SXSW, Woodford Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, and The Festival of Small Halls.
